Meet The Founder
Hi! I’m Naadean,
a 29 year old proud mama to a spirited 4 year old boy and a curious 3 year old girl.
Life changed dramatically when my second was born just 15 months after my first. I found myself in the thick of it, navigating the joys and challenges of raising two little ones so close in age. During my postpartum journey, I often felt isolated and overwhelmed. Outings were chaotic, and finding balance as a stay at home mom felt impossible. I struggled to carve out “me time” without drowning in mom guilt, constantly feeling like I should be doing more for my kids.
That’s how Wonder World was born.
I dreamed of creating a space where both children and caregivers could feel equally seen and valued. My goal was to build a community where moms like me could enjoy a beautiful cafe with barista crafted drinks and not feel guilty for taking a moment for themselves, whether that means catching up on emails, reading a book, or simply unwinding. Meanwhile, their children can safely engage in meaningful, open ended play just a few feet away, learning and growing in an enriching environment.
Before founding Wonder World, I pursued my love of creativity by working in hair and makeup for nearly a decade after completing cosmetology school. I’ve always been drawn to artistic and hands-on work. I also spent some time in college preparing to become a teacher but paused that journey to focus on my family.
As my son prepared to start school, my husband and I dove deeper into researching Montessori principles, discovering even more about the benefits of open-ended play. Although we had been implementing Montessori methods in our home since our kids were born, this research opened our eyes to how these approaches could expand to include school-grade material. It reinforced how powerful child-led exploration and hands-on learning can be for fostering independence and critical thinking.
When designing the play cafe, I collaborated with my mom, who has over 25 years of experience teaching children ages 3-8 in private schools, to thoughtfully plan the stations.
With Montessori and STEM principles at the heart of our approach, we created spaces that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and emotional growth.
Wonder World is more than a business, it’s the place I wish I had during those early days of motherhood.
